H A P P Y #NationalLipstickDay

#NationalLipstickDay

Today marks the day we celebrate all things lipstick and who else better to become the owner of the day than Huda Beauty by the way! And although I am disappointed I still haven't been able to get a hold of her new lipsticks (as they're currently selling out on Sephora and in Dubai) I thought I would share a quick post about another brand of lipsticks I am loving lately.

The brand in question is NYX Cosmetics and since the brand was launched in Boots stores, it has become even more of an addiction to grow my collection.

The Lingerie collection has to be one of my favourites. I love how easy they are to apply to the lips with the applicator, which at first I wasn't sure on because of how big it is! but i've learned to love it and the colours are just to die for.

They are quite long lasting, as with any lipsticks they don't last incredibly well when eating and drinking, but trust me it's hard to find one which ticks all the boxes. The consistency however is perfect and super soft and not drying on the lips at all.

Shades and colour swatches from top to bottom

02  Embellishment
03  Lace Detail
08  Bedtime Flirt
09  Corset
10  Teddy

These are literally the best things since sliced bread, okay, one of them!
But I HIGHLY recommend them ..

You can shop them here or in selected Boots stores.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Review

It's been a while since I was able to get my hands on the Huda Beauty Lip Contour's and I have to admit that ever since I picked up Bombshell and Trophy Wife I kind of regretted that I didn't also purchase Trendsetter.

However, as previously mentioned,  the day they were launched in the UK on the Cult Beauty website, it went into absolute melt down and for most of the day was unavailable, the usual case when something launches and is limited!

Fortunately, last week I was skimming through my emails and had received one from Cult Beauty letting me know that they had finally arrived back and were in stock in all shades after months of eagerly waiting, including Trendsetter. PERFECT!

A couple days after placing my order it arrived in the mail and it was every bit of what I had imagined, and although I didn't pick it up on the first release I am glad I am not able to own it and add it to my forever growing collection.

In total now I have three shades, and these are the ones I most wanted ...

Bombshell - which is a pinky/nude shade

Trophy Wife - which is a dark mauve/pink kind of colour

Trendsetter - which is a brown/nude shade

You can shop these colours and more here

What I love about these is how creamy the product is and how it effortlessly applies to your lips leaving a lovely matte finish. It can be used two ways, either on its own or with a lipstick.
I personally can't wait for the lipsticks which are launching this Friday July 29th.

If you haven't tried this product I would recommend them, and for £16 you can't really complain and although it's like a crayon they are really easy to sharpen. They are also waterproof, believe me this little buggers are very difficult to wash off, making them longer lasting than any other lip liner I've tried.

Have you tried these? Or recommend any other colours etc?

Top 10 Slogan Tees Perfect For Summer

Slogan tees have been around a while and they're always sure to make a come back around festival season and so I thought why not put together my Top 10 finds that i'm loving at the moment.

They're so versatile and can be worn with jeans and shorts and can be worn either loose or fitted. I would usually style mine with a pair of ripped denim shorts, a shirt around the waist and a bandana in the hair with a loose messy bun or loose waves.

Strawberry Daiquiri

On one of the beautiful evenings in Cyprus down by the beach the sunset was just too beautiful to miss out on. I took the opportunity to take some silhouette images and shot a couple of pictures with my tripod.

Nude x Denim

This look was put together with the intention of Summer actually making appearance but as I upload this it's currently raining buckets so it may come in more handy if you have a holiday coming up. Because this British weather is just not cutting it for me ...

I teamed a simple nude body with some ripped denim shorts. What I love about this body is it is so flattering and also the neck detail is a little different to other body's I have. The shorts are so versatile and can be worn with so many items, this is just one.

I have paired it with a pair of heels, none other than my new little beauties Giuseppe Zanotti Cruel Summers which are just to die for (I can't wait to have a tan so they pop even more)!

C O L O U R P O P

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me post a picture of my Colourpop Cosmetics package which I finally received after a couple of weeks of anticipation waiting for it to arrive.

If you don't follow me on Instagram then why not follow, you can find me here

I cannot express how happy I was when this came because if you know anything about Colourpop then you would know they don't actually ship to the UK (what is up with that?!?) which makes it a littttttle bit difficult when it comes to getting your beauty fix!

I had a number of people ask me how I was able to get this shipped here so I decided to put this quick post together to let you guys in. So, after a little research I discovered a number of websites/companies in America which actually ship these products to you.

The way it works is you sign up to a shipping site in which provides you with an american address. When you place your order on a website you enter this address as your delivery address and in effect it delivers the item to you allocated locker.

Once they have received it they take a picture of your items and upload it to your account so you can check everything is there (this is what happened with the one I chose, I'm not 100% if this is the case with all of them) once this is done you are then able to select your delivery option and make payment.

You may of course also get custom charges when it reaches the UK BUT it is a great way of shopping American brands which don't ordinarily ship here.

What is also a huge bonus is you can order many items from different brands and get them shipped to your locker in which they are held for 60 days, you can then select to ship them all together and just pay the one charge. For me, this is great news but for my bank balance, not so much!

The website I used after researching is one called 'godsend' which i've linked here. It's very straight forward to register and sign up with different options for different needs (I have the basic account) and so far from my first use I think it's such a great idea. Because it is based in Delaware you don't get charged tax so you literally only pay for the shipping to the UK and the custom charges.

The Colourpop items I selected I am in love with! The colours are great and so pigmented.

I picked up this Super Shock Cheek highlighter in shade 'wisp' which is one of there most loved products. It's a lovely colour and the photo doesn't do it justice, and the product itself, oh em gee it feels like a sponge when you touch it!
Buy it here

I also picked up this Super Shock Eyeshadow in the shade 'bill' which is a muted plum beige in matte.
Buy it here

The main reason I wanted to shop at Colourpop was for the Ultra Matte Lip  lipsticks because I had heard so many great things about them. And lets face it finding a really good matte lip is difficult it either dries or cracks and in general isn't very long lasting.

Well let me tell you something, so far so good with these ones, I literally don't have any complaints since I started using them and the colours are everything!

The shades I got (top to bottom) Beeper, Trap, Lumiere 2, Bad Habit

They're a range of nudes with the pink thrown in as a curveball as it's not something I would usually go for. And to be honest I didn't think it would be as pink I guess it can be a little deceiving when looking online. But for $6 a piece its worth trying them out, and I actually really like it!

Buy the Ultra Matte Lips here

I also picked up a Lippie Pencil  in the shade 'dopey' and a Lippie Stix in the shade 'pillow talk'.

Buy the pencil here and the stix here

So soft to apply it feels like butter on the lips, and the colours again are so pretty.

You can shop Colourpop here  they're such an incredible brand and so affordable. I am so happy with the products I got this time and I can't wait to put in another order!
Feeding my beauty obsession one shipment at a time!

I would definitely recommend checking out more of their products and if you have any questions about how easy it was to order etc then just let me know!
