H A P P Y #NationalLipstickDay

Today marks the day we celebrate all things lipstick and who else better to become the owner of the day than Huda Beauty by the way! And although I am disappointed I still haven't been able to get a hold of her new lipsticks (as they're currently selling out on Sephora and in Dubai) I thought I would share a quick post about another brand of lipsticks I am loving lately.

The brand in question is NYX Cosmetics and since the brand was launched in Boots stores, it has become even more of an addiction to grow my collection.

The Lingerie collection has to be one of my favourites. I love how easy they are to apply to the lips with the applicator, which at first I wasn't sure on because of how big it is! but i've learned to love it and the colours are just to die for.

They are quite long lasting, as with any lipsticks they don't last incredibly well when eating and drinking, but trust me it's hard to find one which ticks all the boxes. The consistency however is perfect and super soft and not drying on the lips at all.

Shades and colour swatches from top to bottom

02  Embellishment
03  Lace Detail
08  Bedtime Flirt
09  Corset
10  Teddy

These are literally the best things since sliced bread, okay, one of them!
But I HIGHLY recommend them ..

You can shop them here or in selected Boots stores.

Have you tried these? let me know by leaving me a comment below

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Review

It's been a while since I was able to get my hands on the Huda Beauty Lip Contour's and I have to admit that ever since I picked up Bombshell and Trophy Wife I kind of regretted that I didn't also purchase Trendsetter.

However, as previously mentioned,  the day they were launched in the UK on the Cult Beauty website, it went into absolute melt down and for most of the day was unavailable, the usual case when something launches and is limited!

Fortunately, last week I was skimming through my emails and had received one from Cult Beauty letting me know that they had finally arrived back and were in stock in all shades after months of eagerly waiting, including Trendsetter. PERFECT!

A couple days after placing my order it arrived in the mail and it was every bit of what I had imagined, and although I didn't pick it up on the first release I am glad I am not able to own it and add it to my forever growing collection.

In total now I have three shades, and these are the ones I most wanted ...

Bombshell - which is a pinky/nude shade

Trophy Wife - which is a dark mauve/pink kind of colour

Trendsetter - which is a brown/nude shade

You can shop these colours and more here

What I love about these is how creamy the product is and how it effortlessly applies to your lips leaving a lovely matte finish. It can be used two ways, either on its own or with a lipstick.
I personally can't wait for the lipsticks which are launching this Friday July 29th.

If you haven't tried this product I would recommend them, and for £16 you can't really complain and although it's like a crayon they are really easy to sharpen. They are also waterproof, believe me this little buggers are very difficult to wash off, making them longer lasting than any other lip liner I've tried.

Have you tried these? Or recommend any other colours etc?

Then let me know by leaving a comment below

Top 10 Slogan Tees Perfect For Summer

Slogan tees have been around a while and they're always sure to make a come back around festival season and so I thought why not put together my Top 10 finds that i'm loving at the moment.

They're so versatile and can be worn with jeans and shorts and can be worn either loose or fitted. I would usually style mine with a pair of ripped denim shorts, a shirt around the waist and a bandana in the hair with a loose messy bun or loose waves.

Leave any comments and feedback below as i'm looking to improve and grow my blog. Any suggestions are welcome =] xo

Some of you may know if you follow me on Instagram that I have been away for the last week on holiday (vacation) where I was able to relax and take a much needed break away from reality.

Over the next few posts i'll be sharing with you where it was I actually visited and stayed as well as a few holiday snaps and outfits that I wore. Please keep in mind that this wasn't an intentional 'blogging trip' but more so an escaping reality trip and so I didn't shoot a lot of images.

I'll try to keep them short and sweet and giving you the main things you may be interested in knowing, if I however don't mention something you want to know then leave me a comment below and I will get back to you!

Where I went and stayed ....

St George Hotel and Spa in Paphos, Cyprus, which was booked through Thomson Holidays. (here)
The hotel is located near Chlorakas Village and beach on the coast of Paphos and is a '4plus' rated platinum hotel.

It has a range of facilities on offer including ;

  • Swim up bar from the outdoor swimming pool
  • Indoor swimming pool
  • Gym and spa facilities
  • Various restaurants
  • Daytime activities including yoga, diving, water sports etc
  • Free wifi throughout the hotel
  • Bars

These are just to name a few of the facilities on offer. And although there is not a great lot to do in the area outside of the hotel there are frequent buses which you can get for 2.50 euros and will take you right to the Harbour in one direction which offers restaurants, bars and a few shops. As well as Coral Bay which is in the opposite direction.

En route to the Harbour there are a number of stops where you can get off and find restaurants and shops as well as Kings Avenue Mall which is a fully air conditioned mall with the likes of Zara, Bershka, Wagamamas, Costa and Mango to name a few. You can find out more here.
