Benefit Brows - Blogger Event

About a week ago now I had the pleasure of attending the Benefit Brows Blogger Event at a nearby Debenhams store which was held in the Metro Centre, Gateshead. I was looking forward to attending and finding out a little bit more about the new and improved brow collection and range by Benefit as I had only ever used the Brow Zing kit, which was many moons ago and before I even really had a clue about what I was doing! #fail ha

Upon arrival we met at the Benefit counter and have a quick look at the collection in all it's shiny silver packaging (majorrrrrr improvement on the last packaging I have to admit) before being whisked off upstairs where they had set out a cute little area with the usual drinks and nibbles ready for a preview of the new bits and pieces in action.

We were also given a really cute little gift box with some samples in to try as well as access to purchase the new collection before its official launch the next day.

The collection contains around 10 different pieces ranging from brow gels, pencils to highlighting pencils to create that defined brow and have that brow bone popping!

The collection has grew from the standard 3 pieces in 3 colours to 6 colours so you can definitely find your perfect shade and match. And what I think is great about these products is that if you are a number 4 in the Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil then you will be a 4 in all the other products in the range.

As I mentioned before the new packaging is very cute and gives it that extra little something with sets it aside from other brands currently on the market, and the new Good Proof eyebrow pencil and Precisely, my brow eyebrow pencil are the perfect dupes for the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz and brow definer and of course much easier to get your hands on.

With such a variety of products it is simple to create so many different looks and it was interesting to see these in action with Sarah giving a great tutorial on how to use the products to get the best out of them.

I picked up a Goof Proof pencil in shade 5 so I could give this a go! I'll let you all know what I think!

(This Dew The Hoola bronzer was a little free gift)

I would definitely recommend going and taking a closer look and seeing them in person before you make your mind up on these.

What the lovely ladies in Benefit at Debenhams Metro Centre are also offering is if any of you lovely readers head down to their counter and quote my name 'natalieayse' then you will be able to get a brow mapping and colour match as well as some cute little samples!

You can shop the collection here

Boy oh boy do I love a good body and this lace number from Missguided is perfect for holidays and festivals alike! I would wear either a white bra or lace bra under neath but you could go for a more striking colour for it to pop!

N U D E S

I'm really into neutral coloured clothing at the minute, which makes a change from my usual black and grey wardrobe! but I really think they make great transitional colours which you can work into your wardrobe from Spring to Summer.

Nudes and pastel shades work really well, and I just love how basic pieces can be altered and worn various ways and pieced with different key items to change the look.

A Happier YOU

It isn't really a secret that I suffer with depression/anxiety as well as OCD and I have struggled over the years until I finally came to terms with it and took the first step to 'recovery' by accepting it and accepting that this is not out of the ordinary.

A few months ago now I started a journey to find my true self and pretty much discover what it is I wanted from life and what made me truly happy

I'm not going to lie, it isn't a quick process and it takes time to really find out what it is that makes you complete and to basically find out who you really are.

But believe me when you start to make changes and you notice yourself letting go of everything that doesn't matter you being to a fell better.

Here are a few tips and bits of advice that have helped me over the last few months and what i'll be continuing to do moving forward.

First thing, which may sound a bit simple, is acceptance. You must accept that you are going through something which isn't allowing you to be your true self and that you will and can change.

It's never too late to fulfil your dreams you just have to believe it is possible.

You also have to quit with the negative thinking and instead replace it with positive thoughts. When you start to look at things in a positive light then I am truly starting to believe that good things will follow.

So what I have found works for me is when I find myself drifting off into a negative space I take a step back, breath and flip it into something more positive.

I have also found that working from the inside out can create a happier you. For example I have started to drink a lot more water than previously which helps to hydrate, keep your skin flawless as well as flush all the toxins out of your body.

Eating a balanced diet can also lift your mood, so introduce more fresh fruit and vegetables into your daily meals and try to prepare as much fresh food as possible, that way you know what you're putting in your body.

Getting back into working out has also been really good for me, and its true what it says, working out can release endorphins which are kind of like happy pills and make you feel good about yourself.
Give it a go...

Socialising and speaking to people whether they be professionals (which is the route I chose) or friends and family, it's always best to discuss things and get them off your chest so you aren't left with the burden of everything on your shoulders.

Time is also a great healer, and what I mean by that is give yourself time, don't be too critical on yourself let things go and move forward, it takes time and isn't going to be always easy but you do have the strength to do it and live a happy and fulfilled life.

When I set out on this journey I had no idea where it would take me but I have learnt so much about myself already that i'm kinda excited about the future and whats to come.

If you believe it can happen then trust me it will.

TONYMOLY Review

Searching for new beauty treatments and must haves is fast becoming another obsession of mine I can't deny it. And I love looking through websites such as Cult Beauty, Beauty Bay and Feel Unique.

A little while back whilst I was doing the usual browsing at new brands etc I came across a brand called 'TONYMOLY' which to be honest the name alone attracted me to look further into it.

I discovered that it is a brand from South KoreaI and the packaging is just too cute, from adorable little Pandas, mushrooms to even eggs and fruit. Their products cover everything from skin care to make up and have something to suit all needs whether it be large pores, oily skin or even dark circles.

Prices range from around £5 to £20 which isn't too unreasonable (if the products do what they want you to do anyway) and I have had my little beady eyes on the Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm for a number of weeks now and it has been out of stock so I added it to my whilst in the hope of receiving notification of when it had arrived back in.

I wanted to give it a go as it advises it is perfect to 'eliminate pore clogging dirt, oils and make up to prevent blackheads and leave your skin totally powerless' which since I have started trying out more beauty products and make up I have had more breakouts and I like to make sure my skin is kept as flawless as possible.

It contains a charcoal powder and sea salt which attracts embedded impurities, while vitamin E and egg shell powder maintain moisture levels for a dewy glow. It's recommend you apply it to your areas of concern and massage into the skin for around 5 minutes before rinsing with luke warm water.

I have been using this product for a week now every other day and so far, so good! I am loving how smooth my skin feels and I actually feel like it is removing any left over dirt that may result in break outs. At £15 I think it's reasonably priced and a little of the product goes a long way so I believe it would last you quite a while, depending on how often you choose to use it.

I would rate the product 8/10 for the first week of usage and I can't wait to keep using it. It's a really nice consistency and applies really well to the areas you want it to.

You can purchase it from here  and discover other TONYMOLY products here

Summer Stylebook with Jules B Womenswear

If you're looking for some inspiration for Summer then look no further than here.
I have put together a little stylebook to share some inspiration and of course my finds as well as letting you in on how I would style them.
All of the above I have selected from Jules B which you can shop here

I decided that I would style a look based around this Velvet by Graham & Spencer Janessa Tunic Dress which I think is perfect for over the summer months and is quite a versatile piece which can be styled various ways.

To begin with I have chosen some accessories and key items which can be added to wear around the pool/beach or even for a little walk around exploring whilst on holiday.

For footwear I have chosen the Inuovo Diamante Cross Strap Sandals in white which are great for around the pool and would be extremely comfortable to wear in the suns heat. I've also chosen the Star Mela Ivory Leila Embroidered Bag which I think pulls the white and blue colours together and makes the look complete as well as being big enough to hold all of your holiday essentials.

For smaller accessories I have teamed it with the Bailey Brewin Fedora Hat and Le Specs Drop Top Gold Sunglasses  by simply adding these it completes the look for during the day and allows you to even add them to the evening look as an easy transition.

Taking an outfit from day to evening can be as simple as changing up the accessories but keeping the base exactly the same. So for the evening I have teamed the tunic dress with a pair of 7 For All Mankind White Rozie Cropped Skinny Jeans which are simple yet effective and are perfect for those sunny and warm evenings and will take you all the way through summer.

For the evening you want a sharper look so I have changed the bag to the Sophie Hulme White Albion Box Tote Bag  which is cute and dainty and very feminine and the perfect size for any essentials.

Footwear wise I changed it and added a more feminine shoe and some height with the Sam Edelman Caramel Yardley Suede Heels. As with all of the pieces they can be worn with other items which makes them all versatile.

As mentioned I would wear the first styled outfit around the pool or beach on holiday or even to a boat/yacht party and then for the evening by simply changing the accessories and adding a pair of jeans I would be good to go and ready to have a nice dinner and a few cocktails.

All items you will find linked as as mentioned they are all from Jules B. Don't forget to go and check out there website for more lovely items.

May Favourites

I can't believe it is June already, seriously where is this year going?!?

There are a few things in the month of May in which I have been finding myself reaching for and using a lot, this time however it is a little different from just beauty products but i'm also including some accessories and the likes also.

My first favourite product from May is the 'Victoria's Secret Bombshell' fragrance which I actually picked up whilst I was in New York. Not my usual scent but it is very refreshing and perfect for Spring and every day use.

The bottle is so cute and I actually picked it up for $25 dollars, absolute bargain!

On a recent shopping trip I also came across the 'Sinful Kylie Signature Collection' nail varnish so I of course had to give it a go. I picked it up in the shade 'Kommando' which is shimmery nude/pink colour which is really girly and simple. At £3 I think it's more than reasonably priced.

You can find the exact shade here and the rest of the collection here

The next couple of products I actually received as a beautiful gift from NARS Cosmetics New York which I am really thankful for. The first being the gorgeous 'Vida Loca' lipgloss which is a gorgeous pinky/nude shade perfect for adding a little something to your lips.

One of the other products I was gifted was the Duo Eyeshadow in the shade 'Hammamet' which are two of the most gorgeous neutral shades in nude and browny shimmery metallic colour, so perfect to create a smokey eye.

Both these are limited Edition, but you can find the lipgloss here and the eyeshadow duo here

One of my must have accessories at the moment is the Nike 9Forty Cap by New Era which I picked up in Navy from a recent Topshop visit. At £13 you really can't go wrong and it's perfect for a more laid back look as well as those 'can't be bothered to wash my hair' kind of days!

I couldn't find the Navy one on the Topshop website but i've linked the black here and there are also other colour options available.

This next item you may have seen if you follow me on Instagram (if not you can find me searching 'natalieayse') and it is the gorgeous Shiny Rust MA1 Bomber Jacket again from Topshop and priced at £60. I love a bomber, I think they're a staple piece and can be worn with so many things and I loved the colour of this one,  a little different from what I would usually go for.

You can buy it here

My final favourite of this month was some Nike Grey Leggings I picked up recently from ASOS. You really can't go wrong with these they're super comfortable and great for a more casual look as well as working out in of course. They're not see through so you don't need to worry about your modesty being on show which is great! Buy them here
