My Monthly Favourites ; January

Recently I have been thinking about different content in which I could include in my blog posts to change things up a little bit and so I thought it was about time I put together a 'Monthly Favourites'. And lets face it what better time to start than at the start of a brand new year.

So here are my go to beauty products i've been trying this month and a short review on them.
(All opinions are my own based on how I have found these items)

First on my list is the Nip + Fab Skin Glycol Cleansing Fix & Nip + Fab Exfoliate Glycol Fix Daily Cleansing Pads. I'd been wanting to try a few things from this brand for a few months and so I was excited to get these products for Christmas as I'd heard so many good things about them.
Usually my face cleansing routine is based around using Clinique products but I was looking forward to trying something different.

I'm actually really liking how these products are making my skin feel and I feel like it gets rid of all makeup residue and dirt on my face. I would definitely recommend giving these products a try and as I have sensitive skin I know they must be good as I haven't had any problems with using them.

My next picks are my go to eyebrow wonders from Anastasia Beverly Hills. These products are everything! I have tried numerous different brands over the years but I haven't found anything that works for me as good as these.

I mix and match what I use to get the 'perfect' brow shape and I have recently invested in the new Brow Definer which I find works great alongside the Brow Wiz. I use the colours Dark Brown as I find this is the best shade for my and I like to have that darker eye brow look.

Something which I haven't used before is Brow Powder, as prior to using these products the Chanel Brow Pencil was my go to product and so I was looking forward to trying the Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown

I just love the packaging of these products and although they are a little bit more than high street/drug store brands I find that with some things you have to spend that little bit more in order to getter a better quality product. I recommend these to any beauty lover!

Up next is the Chanel Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base.  I don't wear foundation and i'm pretty lucky in the fact that I don't usually get breakouts so my skin is pretty smooth. But whilst searching the beauty counters I couldn't resist picking up and trying this product. It feels really smooth on the skin and evens out the smallest lines as well as brightens up the face.

It would work as an amazing base under foundation for those who do wear it, however, I have also found it's really good under my tinted moisturiser and helps my makeup stay in place all day. You only need a small amount so the bottle will last quite a while as you only need to use it sparingly.

I think at the moment this is my favourite base product and again I highly recommend it. I never seem to have any problems with Chanel makeup and so I know I can trust this brand.

Time to let you guys in on a couple of my favourite lipsticks that I picked up this month.
First up are these cute KIKO Cosmetics lipsticks which I recently got from the sale in which I think they ranged from £2 to £5. I love how cute the packaging is and how they pop out the bottom.

They go on super smooth and don't dry your lips out. They're not that long lasting they do require to be topped up especially after eating or drinking but I would still recommend you to give them a try.

I picked up these few in shades;
520 Luscious Cream Lipstick
412 Crystal Sheer Lipstick
501 Luscious Cream Lipstick

Of course this month I couldn't leave out the ultimate eye shadow palette from Urban Decay from the Gwen Stefani collection. I love the array of colours available in the palette and you can create so many incredible different looks from smokey eyes to adding that extra pop of colour.

They're quite pigmented and the colour can be built up depending on your desired look.

If you are a beauty addict this is a must for your collection.

Next are these cute Essence Cosmetics lipsticks which I picked up in my local Superdrug store. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen me post a picture of these. They're becoming my favourite every day lipsticks and they are super affordable. At less than £4-£5 each you can't go wrong for a lipstick especially if it's going to be something you end up wearing often.

They go on really soft and leave your lips looking smooth and shiny and I love how they can be mixed and matched together especially with the liquid lipstick which I picked up also. With this it doesn't leave the lips feeling sticky like i'm finding a lot are at the moment so I would definitely recommend this brand to people to try.

I picked up the lipsticks in shades

03 Come Naturally
05 Cool Nude

Liquid Lipstick in the shade

03 Most Real

You can find them here as well as selected Superdrug stores

Finally for this month, i'm sharing with you my favourite fragrance and it of course has to be Black Opium Eau de Parfum by YSL
I love a strong smelling perfume and I go through bottles of the stuff due to spraying it like there's no tomorrow. I love how this smells and I get so many compliments when wearing it. The packaging is also great as I love displaying my perfumes so I love a good looking bottle (this may be strange but i'm sure there's more people out there like this ha).

It really is becoming my favourite which is difficult because it was Givenchy Dahlia  previously.

You can find it here

I've loved sharing my monthly favourites with you and I hope you've enjoyed the read and been inspired into maybe trying some new products!

Leave me a comment below to let me know your favourites or any recommendations on what I can try next month and maybe end up featuring.
