New York, New York

As you may know I was lucky enough to get away for a six day break in New York City in which I went with one of my oldest friends. It was something we had always said we would do together and it was also a birthday celebration for me.

I can't lie I was so exciting to be going to NY the trip had been planned for almost a year and having never been to America at all I couldn't wait to just get there and get exploring. There were so many things in which I wanted to be able to do apart from the obvious of shopping until I dropped.

Luckily enough my trip there was timed just right as it was going to be over the holiday season of Thanksgiving which is absolutely huge in America and also the Black Friday sales - so as you can imagine I was more than excited to be there for these celebrations and events.

Because obviously travelling to New York is such a long flight and we were flying from London's Heathrow Airport we had decided to spend the day before in London so it was easier for us to get to the airport for our early morning flight out. So we headed down early Tuesday morning of the 24th and booked in for the night at 'The Blakemore Hotel' in Hyde Park.

I've never stayed in this hotel before but I found it was lovely, great service and pleasant helpful staff as well as really clean and welcoming rooms. I would recommend this hotel for a central London location.
You can find the hotel and more details here.

Whilst I was in London I had decided to book in with my one and only nail technician Shea from Shea'dBeauty. She is my all time favourite person to visit and I wouldn't let anyone else near my nails. I never go in with a set vision of what I want and I just let her do whatever she thinks and it aways turns out amazing. I get compliments on my nails wherever I go and they're always wanting to know where I get them done.

So this time last week was when my adventures officially began - heading to London and then onto New York City. Over the next few posts i'll be sharing with you my adventures, shopping haul (I took shopping until you drop to a whole new level) and things I got up to in New York and things that you can do if you were to ever visit.

I hope you enjoy my experiences - don't forget to comment and share any experiences of your own with me. I love hearing from you all and I would love to know what else I could do in New York because I definitely plan on returning hopefully in the next year.
