Wardrobe Look Book ; Autumn/Winter

I decided to do something a little different for this post in terms style. I thought I would take a little look in my wardrobe and see what I could find and what outfits I could put together with items that I may have purchased some time ago but are still on trend. Showing that if you buy wisely you'll be able to pick up items which can see you through year after year and it's just about maybe styling them differently or adding different accessories.

Firstly I came across a red check/plaid shirt that I bought last year from the TRF collection in Zara. I think I paid around £25 for it and I literally fell in love with it. I think it's such a versatile piece of clothing and can be worn and styled a number of different ways. Whether it be worn loosely open over a vest top or t-shirt, buttoned up completely or even tied around the waist, the possibilities are endless.

Plaid style shirts are always on trend and because of their versatility they can worn over and over again. There are so many like this available on the high street and so i'll definitely bringing this out of hibernation.

I decided to wear mine with some jeans rolled up at the bottom with a pair of ankle boots. Now the jeans are from the Amelie collection from River Island and the boots are from Zara - again last year but there are similar ones still available on the high street now.

First I wore the top buttoned up with half tucked in just to make it a more casual look.

Next I wore the top completely out and buttoned up so it was more a fitted shirt style.

I then tied the two ends up so it was a shorter, cropped version and really casual.

My next look features a simple leather look skirt as well as a simple tee in khaki. Now this skirt I must have had for over a year now which I got from New Look Generation (I know this is for kids but of it fits ha) but leather is a huge trend for autumn/winter again and to be honest it never goes out of fashion. The khaki tee is a recent purchase from Zara (i'm obsessed with Zara I know ha) and it fits so well and can be styled up or down.

I first chose to wear it a pair of Zara heels I found in my cupboard whilst tidying. They are so comfortable and I have worn them so many times and they're still in really good condition.

It can look equally as good worn with flat shoes - again these studded versions are from Zara and are super comfortable.

Next I found a black and white striped shirt dress which was a recent purchase from Select. What I liked about this shirt is that it has a tie around the waist so you can pull it in to accentuate the waist and have it feminine or leave it open and loose over a midi dress. I paired it with some knee high black boots with a chunky heel which are super comfortable and are definitely on trend right now.

I love how feminine this looks on. With the added sexiness with the knee high boots. Shirt dresses tend to always make a comeback probably due to them being so versatile and effortless.

Keeping with the shirt dress theme I then found this black check split side shirt that I bought from Zara earlier on this year I think. I love wearing it over a tee and some jeans or leggings but I love how it can also be worn over a cute midi dress for that extra grunge style. Especially teamed with some heeled boots that go just above the ankle. These are from Carvela but I got them a few years ago now.

My last look is a simple midi ribbed dress teamed with some nude shoes. Simple yet classy and elegant and can take you from day to night with just a change of the shoes. The dress I recently bought from Topshop as it was on sale for £15. The shoes are Christian Louboutin 100mm pigalles.

  1. I love the look with the khaki tee and skirt, khaki is so great for Autumn and the skirt is gorgeous! That outfit would look amazing with heels and a studded leather jacket for the evening, too. Lovely post!
